Falling Water - Toshio Shibata dance After travelling to England inToshio Shibatas photobook Falling Water captures the infrastructure of dams in Japan and the United States of America in a series of black and white photographs. Shibata, born in Japan in 1949 and trained as a classical painter, focused on civil engineering structures in his work, with compositions that place these artificial interventions into a relationship with the context of their surroundings.
