平均地向整盆泥土進行澆水，若盆底出現積水即代表盆栽得到充份的水份，下次可減少水量以免出現大量積水；相反，如果盆底沒出現積水便需增加水量，調整水量到每次澆水後底盤出現最少積水。夏天較為乾燥，可增加葉面噴水的次數，同時洗去葉面的灰塵，家中的橡膠樹也會看起來更加亮麗有精神。

施肥：薄荷的養殖需要肥料，且薄荷喜肥，在其生長期間每月追施1次肥料，肥料以氮肥爲主，可以適當施入磷鉀肥。生長期間如需收割枝葉，應在收割時進行追肥，以促進植株恢復良好的株形。

溫度：適合溫度是18-24度，植物不能長期低於20度
