All figures including are hand carved and hand painted. On the hour, the cuckoo calls, the mill wheel moves, and the lumberjacks cut wood. Also the bell on top rings. The cuckoo bird is carved and the dial and numerals are all also made out of wood. For the night, you can silence the calling and the
